First Grade's Native American Day on Monday! I'm in need of two volunteer parent helpers.
WHAT ARE WE DOING?
READING: Please have your child read "I Am Butterfly" to you in their blue reading books. Review all highlighted words in the story. All books should be returned on Monday. We are working on the -"ch" sound.
In Reading Workshop, students are learning to Question. Students are learning to ask questions while they reading to help them figure out what is going on in the story.
SPELLING: Students took their practice test today. They will take the test on Monday, November 28th when we return back from Thanksgiving break.
MATH: We are still working on counting combinations of dimes, nickels and pennies, telling time to the 1/2 hour, skip counting, and adding numbers.Please continue to work with your child on these skills at home as well.
SCIENCE: Students are learned about the life cycle of a butterfly.
SOCIAL STUDIES: Students learned about pilgrims and Native Americans.

Thanksgiving Feast in 1Wi on Friday, November 18th. Please check e-mail for what your child is to bring.
