Good morning! It has been a TERRIFIC WEEK in 1Wi. I have enjoyed getting to know your child and hopefully they've enjoyed getting to know me too. Please make sure you are checking the blog for information. I will post a Friday Announcement every week.
READING: In your child's backpack they have their blue reading book. Students will read the story, "The Hat" to you. Please be sure to ask them the questions at the end of the story. This book will need to be returned to school on MONDAY.
SPELLING: In your child's folder you will find a spelling test. Every FRIDAY students will take a spelling PRACTICE test to see what words they already know how to spell. On the following THURSDAY, they will actually be tested on the same words. Please practice with them all this week on this set of words. They will take their FIRST SPELLING TEST on THURSDAY,.
MATH: We have been working on counting 1-50. Please work with your child on counting to 50 by 1's, 5's and 10's.
SCIENCE: We are discussing living/nonliving things. Students are learning what living things need to survive.
SOCIAL STUDIES: We are discussing stranger danger, classroom rules, playground rules, and the expectations Mrs. Williams has in her classroom.
