Math: Students are learning their math facts. We are continuing to focus on -1, -2, -3. Students will have a test on THURSDAY on those math facts. Please have them practice each night. We have also been playing in a tournament in class where the students have to say the answer faster than their opponet. This brings a lot of fun and competition to our classroom. We will be playing in a tournament with the other first grade classrooms in April, so KEEP PRACTICING. Over spring break, start working on doubles 2+2, 4+4, etc. and sums of 10 (6+4,2+8, 7+3, 1+9, etc.)
Social Studies: Students are learning about Benjamin Franklin and his inventions. We will continue to study Benjamin Franklin through several experiments next week.
